We first launched the infographic in 2021 and updated and expanded it for 2022.

There are now 50 new tools. AI is a major growth area. We are now listing 17 different AI tools that offer AI-powered writing, image, or video creation. Due to more AI tools as well as growth in content as a service companies, the number of tools we are listing in the Content Creation category has tripled since last year. Other areas where we are seeing growth include Content Standards + Style, Content Workflow, and Content Management + Deployment.

The infographic is based on responses to Content Science’s Content Operations Assessment, our client work, and a review of the content tech landscape in 2022. The categories are:
